MagScapes Custom Print and Cut uses the latest digital printers, scanners and cutters so you can specify the:

• image, size and finish for the wallcovering
• image, size, shape and finish of the magnets

In effect, creating your own background image with foreground magnets.

Custom Wallcovering

We can work with image files (photos) or illustrator files (drawings). Don’t worry about technical issues our studio will help every step of the way.

We normally create custom wallcoverings using MS Lite Printable because our custom magnets are low power sheet magnets. If, however, you also wish to use strong neodymium magnets then we will recommend a MS Plus wallcovering solution as shown below.

OPTIONS:

1. MS Plus Options

MS Plus Grey Liner is 61cm wide and used as a base for custom wallcoverings to enable use with low or higher power magnets.

Wonderwall Digital Wallcoverings are 120cm wide and are used on top of the Liner in any of the following finishes:

• Wonderwall Aqua Matt Wallpaper
• Wonderwall Matt Vinyl Wallcovering
• Wonderwall Silk Vinyl Wallcovering

Wonderwall materials may be digitally printed using solvent, latex or UV inks and is tiled to enable butt to or overlap joins.

2. MS Lite Printable

MS Lite Printable is printed at 110cm width. It may be digitally printed using solvent, latex or UV inks and is tiled to enable butt to or overlap and cut joins.

MS Lite magnets may be printed using the same inks for colour matching and cut to shape.

Note: MS Lite magnets may be used for display, education or decorative purposes but they do not have the pull force to hold other items to the wall.

The stages involved in creating a custom wallcovering are as follows:

• initial briefing between designer and studio
• review of specification, artwork and dimensions
• full quotataion provided by MagScapes
• payment provided by customer
• artwork checking stage
• proofing stage (copies provided to customer and printer)
• printing stage
• delivery to customer
• installation

Our custom magnets are cut using precision digital cutters. MS Lite self-adhesive magnet sheet is 61cm wide and forms the base of the magnet with a print or special material face.

OPTIONS: 

1. MS Lite Printed face

Printed paper is normally applied to the face with a matt or gloss laminate for protection.

2. MS Lite Special Material face

Special materials may also be applied to the face of the magnet such as:

• 3mm felt (colour options)
• 3mm acrylic (colour options)
• 6mm foam (colour options)
• 5mm cork

Note: Unfamiliar materials may be specified but will require testing before production.
