MagScapes endorse the Arts by supporting creative (non commercial) individuals who wish to; empower, educate, innovate or inspire - using interactive elements on walls.
Picasso said "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” We believe using magnets on walls helps everyone rediscover their inner artist.
So as manufacturers of magnetic media - we hope to encourage anyone with ideas to contact us and discuss your projects.
Artists that we have supported:
Annie Drew
Annie was in her final year of University studying interior textiles and surface design. For her end of year show she put her designs onto MagPrint and magnets.
Sophie Thompson
Sophie is a Textile Designer specialising in printed textiles for interiors who was in the process of designing her final student collection to exhibit at New Designers 2014. We were happy to sponsor Sophie as her work is perfect for use with our MagLiner.
Her project was called 'In the Undergrowth' and focusses on the dark and mysterious environment on the forest floor of British woodland, as well as the precious objects that may have been dropped and lost by passers by. She works using a paper cutting collage technique using layer drawings to create depth which can then be rearranged in an interactive way.
Tori McLean
Tori's 3rd Year project for Winchester School of Art was looking at magnetic elements for a Circus / Fair based wallpaper design aimed at children.
Tori's interest lay with the ability to give more flexibility when playing and the magnets facilitated this for her.
